My Number Card — Renewal
A My Number card has two expiry dates: the card itself lasts until your 10th birthday after issue (5th if you are under 18), and the electronic certificates inside it until your 5th birthday after issue, whatever your age. You can renew from the point where less than 3 months remain, and there is no fee. Renewing the certificates requires a visit to the counter, but the card itself can be renewed online, by post, or at a photo booth if your expiry notice carries an application ID.

My Number Card — New Application
You can apply for a My Number card by smartphone, PC, post, or photo booth. It takes roughly one month from application until your municipality sends the collection notice, and you must collect the card in person at the counter. Once you have the card you can also register it as a health insurance card in Mynaportal.
My Number Card — PIN Reset
If you forget your PIN or lock the card by entering it wrongly too many times, you can reset it at the counter of the municipality where you are registered. If you still know either the signature PIN or the user-authentication PIN, you can also reset the other one at a convenience store kiosk after booking through a dedicated app. Both routes are free.
