•People with a period of stay of 3 months or less, or with Temporary Visitor, Diplomat, or Official status, are not mid-to-long-term residents (Immigration Act art. 19-3). No residence record is created for them, so no My Number is assigned and they cannot apply for a card
•Card pickup must be done in person (a representative can collect on your behalf only under special circumstances, and the process is more complex)
•If you have lost your notification card, you can still get an application form issued at your municipal office
•Application is free. If you have lost your notification card and don't have your Application ID, you can get a new application form (with your Application ID printed on it) free of charge at your municipal office
•After receiving your card, don't forget to register it as your health insurance card via MynaPortal
•The application form enclosed with your My Number notification has your period-of-stay expiry date printed on it, and becomes unusable once that date passes. If about a month is left, renew your period of stay at the regional immigration bureau first, then get a fresh form at your municipal office before applying
•There is a multilingual freephone line for My Number and the My Number card: 0120-0178-27. English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Portuguese are available 24 hours (from 20:00 to 09:29 only for suspending a lost card); Thai, Nepali and Indonesian from 9:00 to 18:00; Vietnamese and Tagalog from 10:00 to 19:00
