Important notes

The Residence Card is automatically collected at the airport exit immigration counter. No advance visit to immigration or the city office is required

If you plan to return on a re-entry permit (including deemed re-entry), do NOT return your Residence Card — doing so will cancel your residency status

If you leave without returning your card (e.g., due to loss), you must return it or report to the immigration office at a later date

Permanent residents (Eijusha): returning your Residence Card may result in the cancellation of your permanent residency status. Leaving without a re-entry permit (including deemed re-entry) can result in loss of permanent residency
