•Permanent residents and long-term residents do not need this notification. Those on Dependent, Spouse or Child of Japanese National, or Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident status also do not file the affiliation notification — but if they divorce or are widowed, a separate notification about the spouse is required within 14 days
•If your new job is in the same field, no change of status is needed. However, if the job type changes significantly, you may need to apply for a change of residence status separately
•Online notification requires prior registration on the ISA online system
•When filing online through the electronic notification system, you do not need to submit supporting documents. At a counter, present your residence card with the form; by post, send the form and a copy of your residence card to the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau
