•Re-entry permit: requires advance application at the immigration office (fee: counter ¥4,000 single / ¥7,000 multiple; online ¥3,500 single / ¥6,500 multiple). Valid for up to 5 years within your current residence period
•Keep your Residence Card — do not surrender it at the airport. You will need to present it on return. Returning it means giving up your residency status
